the mecca of coney island

THE MECCA OF CONEY ISLAND is a location in which the geometry, bodies and lights are all protagonists of a dialogue that is disentangling within a very well defined perimeter: a handball playground, a concrete casting in close proximity of the ocean. “Initially I started shooting from the distance, away from the action, but soon I started feeling the need to get close to those walls, throughout those spaces, near their bodies, inside their game.”
